Margate 2 Dover Athletic 1
MARGATE came from behind to retain the Kent Senior Trophy with a 2-1 victory over Dover Athletic at Folkestone's Westbourne Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday.
Margate started the brighter of the two teams in front of a crowd of 2,374 and Che Stadhart almost gave them the lead with a header that came back off the upright after 10 minutes.
However, Dover went ahead on 26 minutes with a Craig Cloke penalty after Victor Renner had been bundled over in the area.
But Gate were level on the stroke of half-time when Stadhart was in the right place to finish off a well worked move.
The winner came on 68 minutes when the Dover defence went to sleep and allowed Rocky Baptiste to power a header past Paul Hyde from five yards.
