Gate's bid to avoid relegation zone

MARGATE have a real six-pointer on their hands in the Nationwide Conference this weekend when they play away to bottom club Farnborough.

Chris Kinnear's side have lost their last four league matches and are now only just above the relegation zone.

The match, originally scheduled for last Tuesday, was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch but has been re-arranged because neither side is involved in the FA Cup.

Kinnear's main injury worry is keeper Phil Smith, who left the field with concussion after 70 minutes of Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Chester

Margate have been drawn away to Dorchester from the Dr Martens League Premier Division in the third round of the FA Trophy. The tie will be played in the New Year.
