Gillingham 0 - Wolves 4

NATHAN Blake stole the limelight with a sparkling hat-trick, but this was a team effort by a good Wolves side who have now won three in a row.

It could have been so different had Nyron Nosworthy not had an uncharacteristic rush of blood, hacking down Blake in the 24th minute, to earn a straight red card.

Before then Gills had been well on top as Wolves rarely got out of their own half, yet from the moment Colin Cameron blasted the penalty home the visitors were in cruise control.

Blake pounced in first half stoppage time to make it 2-0 showing some nifty close control to round keeper Jason Brown.

He made it 3-0 on 52 minutes and seven minutes later claimed the match ball with a fine turn and shot to beat Brown at his near post.

Wolves would have won by more if Kevin Cooper’s vicious swerving volley had not been disallowed and another stunning strike had not hit the crossbar.
