WITH the January transfer window now open Gillingham manager Ronnie Jepson is ready to clear out players who are failing to perform for the club.

The Gills picked up six points over the festive period but have again slipped away from the play-off places and Jepson has issued a clear warning to his squad.

He said: "As footballers, you live and die by your performances. If they aren’t up to the job then I’ll get players in to replace them.

"That’s what happens in football. It’s the same with managers and players, if you aren’t up to the job you get replaced."
