GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson is preparing for a summer clearout of players at Priestfield.

With League 1 safety secured after a superb run of results, Jepson is starting to turn his attention to next season and will soon begin the process of getting rid of the players not in his plans.

Jepson said: "I’ll sit down with the chairman and then I’ll know where I’m up to with renegotiating players’ contracts. It’s going to be a busy time.

"I’ll have to speak to the lads and I don’t want to say too much until I’ve spoken to those who won’t be offered new contracts first. I’ll do it in the proper manner."
