GILLINGHAM defensive duo Brent Sancho and Ian Cox both played the entire match as Trinidad & Tobago warmed up for their first World Cup with a victory over German third division side FC St Pauli.

England's opponents in group B, the smallest nation to make it to the finals, won the game 2-1 thanks to goals from Kenwyne Jones and Jason Scotland.

But it was no real indication as to whether either player will start the match against Sweden on Saturday as Trinidad coach Leo Beenhakker fielded a mainly second-string team.

Trinidad play England on June 15 in the second of their three group matches.
