Gills reward promising youngsters

GILLINGHAM have offered professional deals to three of their youth players.

Mark Corneille, Jonathan Wallis and keeper Danny Knowles have all been handed one-year deals.

RJ Boorman has been granted extra time to prove his worth after suffering injury, but remaining third year scholar Ashley Carew has been released.

Meanwhile, former Gills player David Perpertuini has signed a non-contract deal with Wycombe Wanderers.

The defender impressed former Gills caretaker boss John Gorman during a trial at Adams Park, and ends a three-month spell in the wilderness.
