Yeovil Town 1 Gillingham 0

YEOVIL lead Gillingham by a goal to nil at half-time at Huish Park this afternoon.

The home side took the lead on 17 minutes when Lee Morris allowed the ball to run from an offside position before Leon Best broke clear and slotted past debutant keeper Dean Brill.

The lead was almost doubled six minutes later but Morris' shot on the turn was too high.

Gary Mulligan came close to an equaliser on but his snapshot from the edge of the box was well saved by Steve Mildenhall.

Gillingham: Brill, Sancho, Cox, Chorley, Jupp, Bentley, Crofts, Flynn, Easton, Jarvis, Mulligan.
Subs: Johnson, Jackman, Pouton, Spiller, Ndumbu-Nsungu.
