INVICTA Dynamos clinched their fourth consecutive English National Ice Hockey league title despite losing their first game of the season.

On Saturday, an under strength Dynamos slipped to a 2-1 defeat at mid-table Bracknell Hornets, a side they had thrashed 14-2 in December.

However, the title was secured the following day with a 4-1 away victory at the home of their closest rivals, second-placed Streatham.

Goals from Kev Lake, Anthony Lennon, and Jordy Black put the Mos 3-1 up by the end of the second period.

Black scored his second in the third period, and with netminder Joe Dollin securing his second man of the match award in two days, the home side could not force themselves back into the game.

The victory took the Mos five points clear of the Redskins with just two games left.

Delighted coach Kevin Parrish said: "I would like to congratulate the boys - there was a lot of pressure on us following a below par performance on Saturday, but they turned it round."
