FORMER Gillingham defender Danny Jackman returns to Priestfield for the first time this weekend following his exit in the summer.

Jackman joined Northampton in the close season and admitted that he looks back on his time at Gillingham with fondness.

"I loved my time down there," he said. "I loved the fans and I loved the club and I really enjoyed playing for them.

"Things worked out that I didn't stay for whatever reason, and it would be nice to go there and get a win on Saturday.

"I know one of the lads there really well, Gary Mulligan, and he was actually over at my house on Sunday giving me a bit of stick.

"It will be nice to keep him quiet and then I'll have the bragging rights over him.

"You put all your friendships aside for the game because you've got a job to do and the game is the most important thing.

"After the game you can have a chat about it and have a drink together."
