Jarvis looks set for Forest return

Gillingham may welcome back long-term absentee Matt Jarvis
Gillingham may welcome back long-term absentee Matt Jarvis

Nottingham Forest v Gillingham

GILLINGHAM travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday with manager Ronnie Jepson confirming that Matt Jarvis could make his comeback from injury.

Jarvis was expected to be named in the squad to face Brentford at the weekend having returned to full training following a hernia operation.

But the postponement of that game has allowed him more time to work on his fitness and his inclusion would boost a Gills side lacking the suspended strike duo of Darren Byfield and Neil Harris.

Jepson said: "Matty Jarvis is back in contention. He gives us a different dimension and brings a bit of pace and trickery, which I think we've been lacking since he's been out.

"We’re missing strikers so will have to shuffle it around a bit and see what we come up with."

Saturday's opponents currently lie in 10th place but they thrashed Swindon Town 7-1 in their last home match.
