RONNIE JEPSON admitted his team were second best on Saturday and has promised to sort out Gillingham's teething problems.

The Gills have started the season with three straight defeats, the latest on home soil against Tranmere, and Jepson knows he needs to act fast.

He said: "They (Tranmere) deserved three points without a shadow of a doubt.

"You don't bury your head in the sand and you can't hide away from problems – it's my job to go and sort them out.

"We're in for strikers and hopefully that will come to fruition."
