ANDREW CROFTS: assured of a place against Brenford

Gillingham v Brentford

RONNIE JEPSON has demanded his Gillingham players show how much they really care about the club this Saturday in their match against basement boys Brentford.

The Gills slipped to 19th in the table following a 5-0 defeat at Carlisle last week.

Jepson said: "Carlisle wasn’t a good performance, even 11 against 11 and I’m not going to make excuses about being down to 10 men.

"On Saturday I just want to see a committed performance, win, lose or draw, with people willing to put their foot in.

"I want them to show the supporters and me that they care about the job they are doing at Gillingham Football Club. I think that’s a prerequisite of a professional footballer."

Andrew Crofts returns from international duty and Jepson says he will be in the team.

Clint Easton (sickness) is still a doubt, while Matt Jarvis (groin) and Kelvin Jack (ankle) are nearing full fitness. Duncan Jupp (groin) is out. Bentley is suspended.
