GILLINGHAM manager Ronnie Jepson is keen to sign defender Ben Chorley permanently in the summer.

The 24-year-old agreed to extend his loan spell from League 2 side MK Dons until the end of the season on Wednesday and Jepson has been impressed with his performance.

He said: "He’ll be a good addition to us. Come the end of the season, hopefully we’ll be in a position to offer him something long-term.

"It gives him a better opportunity to prove to us that he’ll be worth that and hopefully we’ll prove our worth to him."
