Keister back for Gate

MARGATE'S Sierra Leone international John Keister returns for Saturday's visit to Southport in the Nationwide Conference.

Keister missed last weekend's win against Halifax at Crabble because of a one-match ban.

Keister recently played in front of 30,000 spectators in the goalless African Nations Cup draw with Morocco in Freetown and three days later ran out at Welling to face Erith in front of just 179 fans.

Jake Leberl's second spectacular goal in the space of five days earned Margate three more points in the win over Halifax.

The midfielder followed up his 30-yarder in the BOSE Kent Senior Cup at Erith with another long-range strike. Gate's victory ended the Yorkshire club's play-off chances.
