CHARLTON were denied a third win in pre-season games when they let slip a 2-1 lead at Colchester on Tuesday night.

The Coca-Cola League 1 side equalised 10 minutes from the end through Ben May, signed on loan from Millwall, after the Addicks looked set for victory having dominated the second half.

Both Charlton goals came from defenders with Mark Fish equalising Wayne Andrews' lead in the 18th minute. Hermann Hreidarsson gave Charlton a 66th minute lead, which looked good enough for victory until May's intervention.

Attendance: 1,512.
