Bromley 3 Bishop's Stortford 1

BROMLEY continued their impressive start to life in Blue Square South with a fourth win out of five.

Danny Hockton, Nic McDonnel and Sam Wood were all on target as the Lillywhites came from behind to secure a comfortable three points over Bishop's Stortford at Hayes Lane.

Roy Essandoh gave the visitors the lead against the run of play on 18 minutes when he prodded home a Jason Mason cross.

Bromley had faded after a bright start and heeded a touch of luck to get back into the game.

A back pass from a hopeful long ball fell short on 34 minutes and striker Hockton pounced to smash past keeper Andy Young.

The Lillywhites went ahead on the stroke of half-time, McDonnel hooking into the net after Francis Duku had headed a Barry Moore corner across goal.

Moore also had a hand in their third midway through the second half when he threaded a pass through the Stortford defence for Wood, who finished with aplomb.

Hockton came within a whisker of getting his second in the closing minutes but his shot when clean through came back off the post.
