Amine Linganzi will return to the Gillingham squad for their trip to Wolves on Saturday.

The midfielder was rested in midweek as boss Martin Allen made five changes to his starting XI for the Capital One Cup game against Bristol City.

Several of those who dropped out of the eleven, including Danny Kedwell and Cody McDonald, are likely to return.

Allen said: “Linganzi played well against Colchester and we are going to need him this Saturday. He was rested and will be ready and raring to go.”

Charlie Lee and Charlie Allen are both struggling with a bruised foot while Myles Weston is gradually returning to full fitness but Allen is likely to name him on the bench again.

“He is not ready to start but the way he has done in both games is the reason we brought him here,” said Allen. “He can beat full-backs, get crosses in and he has got pace. Pace is vital.”
