Gillingham v Hartlepool

GILLINGHAM could give League 1 debuts to several players for their home game against Hartlepool on Saturday.

New loan signings Stuart Thurgood, Adam Bygrave, John Nutter, Adam Miller and Shabazz Baidoo are likely to go straight into the squad.

And 15-year-old Luke Freeman could be in line to become Gills’ youngest ever league debutant.

Stimson said: "It would be nice if Luke was to break the record for the club’s youngest league player because he has a lot of ability and deserves his chances.

"There’s a good chance he could be involved at some point against Hartlepool.

"Hartlepool are a good footballing side and they play with a big target man up front, but we will look to ask them some questions and play an attacking game."
