No home comfort for Margate

Margate 1 Burton Albion 2

MARGATE were sunk by Dale Anderson's late strike in a disappointing defeat against Burton Albion at the Hoverspeed Stadium on Saturday.

After a first half of few chances, the visitors took the lead on 67 minutes when Adam Murray's corner was glanced in by Aaron Webster.

Loan signing Lennie Piper, a former Gillingham player, brought the Gate level when he lobbed the ball over the keeper from 20 yards.

But they could not stay on terms and, with six minutes left, Lee Culkin crossed low from the left and Anderson rounded off the move with a low shot past keeper Phil Smith.
