GILLINGHAM have extended Blackburn pair Jay McEveley and Jonathon Douglas’ loan spells until the end of the season.

The duo have been instrumental in Gills’ rise out of the relegation zone, with neither player yet to feature on a losing team.

Assistant manager Ronnie Jepson was pleased to see both players remaining to help in the fight for survival.

He said: "It’s good news for all. They’ve made a difference and given us extra options in the team and they’ve done well."
