Rams to appeal against points deduction

Ramsgate have decided to appeal against their four-point deduction by the Ryman Premier League for fielding three short-term loan players.

The Rams have been charged with playing more than the maximum amount of short-term loan players in their matches against Margate, Dartford and Tonbridge.

But Ramsgate claim that goalkeeper Jamie Turner's loan deal from Welling was made permanent before the loan deal expired, and club chairman Richard Lawson said: "I can confirm that after receiving a positive response from our barrister over the weekend Ramsgate Football Club are proceeding with an appeal."
