Rommedahl completes Charlton move

DANISH international winger Dennis Rommedahl has completed a move from PSV Eindhoven to Charlton.

The deal for the 25-year-old, worth £2m, was finalised yesterday afternoon as Rommedahl agreed a four-year contract. He becomes Alan Curbishley's third summer signing after the Addicks also signed Birmingham midfielder Bryan Hughes on a free transfer earlier in the day.

Chairman Richard Murray said: "This is a tremendous signing for Charlton Athletic.

"Dennis is a proven world-class player, and for us to beat off competition from other clubs in the Premiership and across Europe is a real coup."
