Saturday football round-up

BROMLEY progressed in the Ryman League Cup at the expense of Dover Athletic at Crabble on Saturday.

Nic McDonnell put the visitors ahead after nine minutes of extra-time and the win was sealed three minutes later when Jones Awuah gave the Premier Division side an unassailable advantage over their Division 1 opponents.

Goals from Billy Edwards, Adolf Amaoko and Charlie Taylor helped Margate to a 3-2 Ryman League Premier Division win against Hampton & Richmond Borough at Hartsdown Park.

A brace from Stuart Vahid and a Sam Denly strike earned Ramsgate an impressive 3-0 win away at Lymington & New Milton in Ryman League Division 1.

Joby Thorogood’s goal earned a share of the points for Ashford Town at Leatherhead.

And in Southern League Division 1 East, a Brendan Cass double (one penalty) and a further goal by Israel Amadi helped Chatham Town to a 3-2 win at home against Barton Rovers.

The Chats joy was tempered though when goalscorer Amadi was carried off towards the end with what looked like a serious knee injury.
