Show me the money, says Armour

JOHNNY Armour is still waiting to hear who he will make the second defence of his WBU bantamweight title against, despite rumours that he will face Francis Ampofo for a third time.

Sky Sports’ website states that Armour will fight Ampofo on September 21 at Brentwood and although Armour is due to appear on the bill, he doesn't know who he is facing yet.

The Chatham champion confirmed that fighting Ampofo again is a possibility but the Bethnal Green fighter's team will have to show him the money to make it happen.

Armour said: “My manager Terry Toole said they will have to come up with a lot more money for me to fight him again. I know they're looking at three or four opponents but I have no problem in fighting Ampofo again.”

Armour has inspected the facilities at Sittingbourne’s Central Park stadium and said there was a real chance that he could fight there in the near future.
