Southern League Division 1 East preview

DARTFORD boss Tony Burman is demanding major improvements ahead of his side's Kent derby at Sittingbourne in Southern League Division 1 East on Saturday.

Burman has seen his side concede seven goals on the road in the last two league outings, with the 4-1 defeat at Corby leaving him particularly frustrated.

"It was our poorest performance so far this season," said Burman.

Dave Martin is the Darts' only injury doubt after picking up an ankle knock at the weekend, but Burman expects him to be fit for Saturday.

Striker Jon Neal is the only player causing Sittingbourne manager Steve Lovell any injury worries ahead of the game.

Neal has been struggling with a hamstring problem and will have his fitness assessed ahead of the match.

The Brickies are hoping to extend their four-match unbeaten run in the league, while inflicting more woe of Burman's side.

Meanwhile, Chatham Town return to league action on Saturday with the visit of struggling Potters Bar Town.

But manager Steve Binks is expecting a tough match.

He said: "Their league position doesn’t tell the tale. They’ve brought in a new manager and a few players and their results have been picking up.

"I’m expecting another tough game as I believe any side can beat any other in this division."
