THE success of last year’s celebrity cricket match with the star-studded Lashings side has prompted newly reformed Charing to look at restaging the event.

The match, which marked Charing’s return to the fold after lying fallow for several years, was very well supported.

Hopes of staging another one this year depends in Charing being able to find enough sponsors to back the celebrity lunch that goes with the match.

Charing are now examining the possiblity of hosting another game sometime in May and would like to hear from anyone willing to back the day.

Charing have a proud history as one of the most successful of the Kent Village League clubs. Contact chairman Kevin Walters at the club for more details.
