LEON CLARKE of Sheffield Wednesday has become the latest player to snub a move to Gillingham.

Gills boss Ronnie Jepson revealed that he had made a move for the 22-year-old striker, who joined Wednesday from Wolves in January for a fee thought to be in the region of £300,000, but the striker opted for Oldham instead.

Jepson said: "We have tried here, there and everywhere for players, and people are reluctant to let them come.

"Clarke had a choice of going to Oldham or Gillingham. Where would you go to?"
