Two tough tests facing Margate

MARGATE, without a goal for three matches, are facing arguably their toughest few days of the season with games against the top two sides in the Nationwide Conference.

Chris Kinnear’s side entertain runaway leaders Yeovil at Crabble on Saturday and on Tuesday, March 25, they travel to second-placed Doncaster.

Last Saturday Gate played out a goalless draw at home to Burton Albion who are just below them in the table.

Substitute Jean-Michel Sigere might have snatched both points for Margate in stoppage time but his snap shot was well saved by keeper Duke. It was the only diving save of the match made by either goalkeeper.

Margate: Smith, Oates, Sodje, Leberl, Edwards, Clarke, McFlynn, Saunders, Keister, Braithwaite, Sigere. Subs not used: Shearer, Porter, Lamb, Mitten, Turner.
