NATALIE WALLIS has completed a decade of dominance at Gillingham Golf Club by winning the ladies championship for the 10th straight year.

The nine-handicapper started her golf career at Gillingham as a 14-year-old in 1990 and won her first ladies championship seven years later.

And this year she made it 10 in a row after her six best of 12 gross medal scores made her the clear 2007 winner.

She also won the Dreaper Cup in the summer after beating Barbara Cooke in the final and finished runner-up in the Jubilee Cup.

She said: “I am playing better golf than ever before, so hopefully I can win it for another 10 years. Hopefully in 2008 I can take my handicap down from nine to seven or eight.”

Irene Thompson won the Edith Hammond Trophy, with Pam Kavanagh in second.

The club’s Pearson team have started the season in great form, winning 5-2 away at Bexleyheath and 6-1 at home to Dartford.
