Weakened Kent face a full-strength Outlaws at Trent Bridge

Kent make a couple of enforced changes to their squad ahead of Wednesday's tough LV Championship clash with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.

With skipper Rob Key away on England Lions duty at the Rose Bowl, his vice captain Martin van Jaarsveld will lead a squad itching to avenge a home 10-wicket defeat to the Outlaws in last month's opening round of four-day games.

Winter recruit Azhar Mahmood misses out after dislocating the little finger of his right hand at Hove at the weekend allowing a re-call for ex-England swing bowler Martin Saggers.

Justin Kemp is named for his championship debut, having won his ECB registration appeal, and Robbie Joseph is fit again after picking up a slight groin twinge in the rain-affected draw with Sussex.

Though Amjad Khan had hoped to play, he is deemed slightly off the pace in terms of full fitness and so will have a run out for a combined Kent and Essex XI set to take on Middlesex 2nd at Southend over the next three days.

Nottinghamshire will be without spinner Graeme Swann who is also on England Lions duty, but can name both their star England bowlers Stuart Broad and Ryan Sidebottom.

The game is scheduled for an 11am start and online updates will be available after each session of the match.

Kent from: Denly, Tredwell, van Jaarsveld, Walker, Kemp, Stevens, Jones, McLaren, Arafat, Joseph, Saggers, Dexter.

Nottinghamshire: Jefferson, Wood, Wagh, Voges, Samith Patel, Bilal Shafayat, Read, Broad, Ealham, Sidebottom, Shreck.
