Weather disrupts football fixtures

BELOW is a summary of how the bad weather is affecting this weekend's football programme.

Margate versus St Albans City in the Conference South has been called off following a pitch inspection.

Sittingbourne versus Fisher Athletic in the Southern League, Herne Bay against Sporting Bengal, Hythe v Maidstone and Lordswood v Sevenoaks in the Kent Premier Division, and Canterbury's match at home to Maidstone in rugby union have all been called off already.

There will be a pitch inspection at Deal tonight ahead of their fixture with Whitstable, although it is likely to be cancelled postponed.

There are 10am inspections tomorrow morning at Folkestone versus Slough in the Ryman Premier League, and Thamesmead versus Ramsgate in the Kent Senior Trophy semi-final.

There may be an inspection at Gravesend ahead of their Nationwide Conference match against Scarborough, but that part of Kent has not been as badly affected by the weather as other areas of the county.

The games involving Tonbridge and Dover are likely to go ahead as they both play away from home. Chatham's game at Leighton Town is also likely to be played.

*There will be updates throughout the day on your local KM-fm station.
