Weather wipes out football matches

A host of games involving clubs around the county were called off on Saturday due to waterlogged pitches.

Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish will now see his side start their FA Trophy defence on Tuesday night after their first round trip to Bognor was postponed.

Welling's home match with Weymouth has also been switched to Tuesday after Park View Road was not playable.

Elsewhere, a number of Ryman League and Kent Senior Trophy games succumbed to the appalling weather conditions.
