We'll go out on a high, says Osborn

Bromley manager Simon Osborn is determined to finish the campaign on a high – play-offs or no play-offs.

The Lillywhites boss welcomes already-relegated Dorchester Town to Hayes Lane for the club’s final Conference South fixture of the season tomorrow (Saturday).

And while Bromley’s lingering play-off chances rested on fixtures played earlier this week and indeed those taking place elsewhere this Saturday, Osborn is focusing solely on putting in another victory after back-to-back wins against Havant & Waterlooville and Weston-super-Mare.

“I just want to finish the season on a high,” said Osborn who, at the time of going to press, did not know if Bromley could still make the play-offs.

“Our win against Weston-super-Mare meant that we could still mathematically make fifth place, but so many things need to go for us including the fixtures at the beginning of the week.

“Of course we never gave up on the play-offs but my only real aim was to win as many games in the closing weeks for our own purposes.”

Even if every other result works out for Bromley, the Hayes Lane side would still need to record a heavy win against Dorchester.

“If it’s still a possibility then of course we’ll go out looking to score a few this weekend,” Osborn continued.
