England under-19 goalkeeper Preston Edwards has joined Dover on a month's loan.

The 19-year-old Millwall keeper moved to Crabble after it was confirmed that John Whitehouse would be out for the rest of the season after breaking his collarbone.

Whites boss Andy Hessenthaler told the club's website: "Edwards comes with a great pedigree. He's been capped at England Under-19 level and played a game for Millwall's first team.

"He's obviously young and one for the future - and we needed to sign someone to cover for John."
