Kent's coaching co-ordinator Simon Willis advised his side to forget today's dreadful batting performance and concentrate on trying to put things right come Friday's third day of their LV Championship game with Sussex.

After watching his side collapse to 65 for six in 30 overs, Willis said: "It was very disappointing but it seems a few decisions are going against us at the moment and it's very hard to gain momentum when things like that happen.

"Tomorrow's another day and we still have a lot of batting to come. If we can get a good start in the morning then you never know what can be achieved."

Willis added: "We worked hard yesterday afternoon with the ball to get ourselves back into a strong position in the game, so to fall down like this was disappointing.

"I felt a bit for Joe Denly because he appears to have had two decisions go against him in our first two games.

"He was given out caught off his hip last week and today we felt his leg before was maybe a bit high.

"But we can't afford to mope, we must keep working hard to make the tide turn our way and if we do the guys will get their rewards."

The game is scheduled to re-start on Friday at 11am and you can follow Kent's progress with online reports at lunch, tea and the close.
