DEFENDER Lew Watts has left Welling to link up with Ryman League Division 1 side Tonbridge Angels.

Watts marked his last game for the Wings on Wednesday evening with a goal as he skippered the team to a 5-0 London Senior Cup second round win over Erith & Belvedere.

Tonbridge manager Tony Dolby was at the game and completed the signing of Watts, who was released from his Welling contract, after the match.

Watts has struggled to gain regular football this season after being forced down the pecking order at Park View Road following the arrival of Lee Shearer and Steve Perkins.

He goes straight into the Tonbridge squad to face Lymington on Saturday.
