Wolves v Gillingham: how the players rated

FIRST GOAL: Mike Flynn
FIRST GOAL: Mike Flynn

Wolves 2 Gillingham 2

STEVE BANKS: Rare for him but was twice lucky to get away with poor handling. Made up for it with two great saves to deny Kenny Miller and Seyi Olofinjana. 5

NYRON NOSWORTHY: Stuck to his job of man-marking Carl Court admirably but that took him out of the game. 5

BARRY ASHBY: Steady presence and would have enjoyed this game as Wolves had no pace up front to trouble him. 6

IAN COX: Solid enough but he and Nosworthy seemed to leave it to each other to clear the danger. 5

NICKY SOUTHALL: Rattled the crossbar with a free-kick but was pretty much anonymous. 5

PAUL SMITH: Disappointing display by the skipper who had failed to raise his game and thsoe around him. 5

MIKE FLYNN: Was often found getting back to help his team defend. Took his chance to open his Gills account well with a deft chip. 6

ANDREW CROFTS: As usual did nothing spectacular nor anything wrong, but needs to start raising his game if he is to keep his place when others return from injury. 6

MATT JARVIS: Was one of the side's hardest workers, but did not have his shooting boots on. 5

DARREN BYFIELD: Should stick to romancing superstar singers. For the natural talent he has this boy should be ashamed of the minimal effort he puts in. 4

DARIUS HENDERSON: Typically burly centre forward play, getting stuck into the Wolves defenders and taking his chance when it was presented to him. 6

Match report:

Grandstand finish no consolation
