Woodwork denies Gills half-time lead

NICKY SOUTHALL: Hit the bar
NICKY SOUTHALL: Hit the bar

Wolves 0 Gillingham 0

STAN TERNENT will be pleased with his Gillingham side who have restricted Wolves well in the opening 45 minutes.

Luck continued to desert the visitors when Nicky Southall saw his fine curling shot from the edge of the area beat keeper Oakes but crash back down off the bar.

It is 14 games since Gillingham last won away from home, but the closet the home side came was when Ian Cox charged down a shot from Keith Andrews.

The Gills could move out of the bottom three with a victory, but goals look unlikely in a match where the two sides seem to be cancelling each other out.
