Celebrations, and commiserations, were continuing all over the weekend as news of A-level results sank in.

This year's A-level results at Cornwallis Academy are the best yet with 100 per cent of students passing their exams.

Head teacher David Simons said: “The Cornwallis is delighted to report record breaking A-level results. The school achieved 100 per cent pass rate, a 3 per cent increase on last year.

"Sixty-six per cent of the results were A-C grades, this marks an 11 per cent increase on last year’s results and reflects the hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff.”

It was a similar story at Invicta Grammar School, which also saw its best results ever, while schools across the area continued to perform well.
