The restaurant, which is only the ninth branch in the UK, is in place of the former Carphone Warehouse.

The chain announced plans to open 50 new UK outlets last November and work began on the Maidstone site in May.

Last month, the store's famous red front was uncovered, and now customers will have the chance to taste the American favourites for themselves - with some already voicing their experiences.
Customer, Finley Duggen said: "I've been waiting for this all day.
"As soon as I heard it was open it's all I've been thinking about."

He also gave his recommendation from the menu.
"You have to get the Baconator combo meal for £9.99, best decision you can make."
Charlotte Perkins said: "It feels like a place that's a combination of the other fast-food places.
"It's as nice as Maccy's not as expensive as Five Guys and has nice tasting chicken options like KFC."

Sophia Barker never had a Wendy's before but was quick to voice her praise.

She said: "We went to Taco Bell when that first opened but I prefer this one.
"I think this is the best fast-food place in town now."

Sarah Amelal mentioned that the service was quick and Thomas Cubbon praised how it felt like "you got a lot more for your money."

Wendy's menu includes the Dave's Single - named after the restaurants founder - the Baconator, baked potatoes and the famous Frosty dessert - of which the first 50 customers got for free.

All options on the menu are fully customizable and every option can potentially be combined with another.

A separate menu will also be available for breakfast during the morning.

The restaurant will also do deliveries via UberEats.

It will be open between 7am and 10pm from Monday to Thursday, 7am and 11pm on Friday and Saturday and 8am to 10pm on Sundays.

It will be in direct competition with other fast-food options in KFC Burger King, McDonald's and Taco Bell - all located on on the same street.

For now this will be the only Wendy's in Kent with no currents plans to to expand elsewhere.
