Police appeal after motorcyclist dies in crash in Tonbridge Road, Wateringbury

Police are appealing for information after a motorcyclist died in a crash near Maidstone.

Officers were called to reports of a collision, involving a black Honda motorcycle and a stationary blue Skoda Fabia, on the A26 Tonbridge Road, Wateringbury, at 12.39am this morning.

Crews from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended and the biker, a man in his 20s, was declared dead at the scene.

Anyone who saw the collision or the motorcycle prior to it, is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538, quoting reference RY/NR/080/17, or send an email to sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk

Officers are particularly interested to speak to the driver of a white estate car, possibly an Audi or Skoda, travelling on Tonbridge Road around the time of the crash, as they may have information which can assist the investigation.
