Maidstone band Kaleidophone appeal for return of stolen instruments

A band based in Boughton Monchelsea is appealing for the return of their instruments after they were stolen this week.

Four-piece indie band Kaleidophone, made up of Al Holland, James Holland, Mark Thompson and Mark Wells, are next due to perform in Camden on Saturday.

They are familiar faces at venues across Kent and have played at Maidstone Fringe Festival in May and supported the likes of The Hoosiers.

But their future has been left in doubt after all their equipment was reportedly taken from a white van on Monday morning.

An urgent appeal on the band’s Facebook page has been shared more than 600 times in just 10 hours.

It states: “We have lost everything including instruments, amps, pedalboards, drums, the lot. We are basically screwed as a band as most of the gear was personal to us and can’t easily be replaced.
