Beatlemania is back.

Remastered versions of The Beatles' entire back catalogue were released today - generating a worldwide hysteria that wasn't lost on Maidstone shoppers.

HMV, in Fremlin Walk, said that people were queuing outside the store at 9am to get their hands on the new versions.

One Beatlemaniac spent more than £350 for two box sets - one featuring all the albums in mono, the other in stereo - while another fan lurked in the shop until exactly 9.09am on 9/9/09 to buy his copy.
