Boris Johnson goes into bat for Parliament - at Maidstone's Mote Park

Boris Johnson will be at Mote Park in Maidstone today for a game of cricket.

The Mayor of London is making his debut for the House of Commons and Lords Cricket Team, when they take on the Lashings All-Stars at The Mote Cricket Club.

The Mayor will face a bowling attack including possibly balls from Courtney Walsh, Tino Best, Phillip DeFreitas and Devon Malcolm.

Play begins at 11am, and the Minister for Sport, Chatham and Aylesford MP, Tracey Crouch will be cheering the Parliamentarians on from the side lines.

The House of Commons team will play Lashings on the main pitch at The Mote, as part of a four-team tournament which also includes The Mote and West Indies under-15s sides
