Car crashes into central reservation on M20 after collision with lorry

A woman has been treated by paramedics after a car crashed into a central reservation following a collision with a lorry on the M20.

Police were called to the coast-bound carriageway between Junction 3 for the M26 and Junction 4 for the A228 Castle Way (Leybourne/Snodland) at about 6.40am.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at around 6.40am regarding a report a car had collided with the central reservation following a collision involving a lorry on the coast-bound carriageway of the M20, between junctions 3 and 4.

"Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a woman was treated for minor injuries.

"Two lanes were closed while Highways officers arranged for recovery of the car and the carriageway was fully reopened at around 8.30am."

Traffic was said to have been queueing for three miles due to the accident, and all traffic was temporarily held for about 15 minutes just before 7am whilst the vehicles were attended too and cones were put down.
