M20 driver suspected of drink driving following incident between Junction 8 and 9

A driver has been reported on suspicion of being 'intoxicated' following a one-car accident on the M20 in which the vehicle overturned early this morning.

Kent Police's traffic unit tweeted details after the M20 was partially closed for two hours at around 6.30am coastbound between junctions 8 (Hollingbourne and Leeds Castle) and 9 (Ashford).

Police sealed off two lanes at the scene to allow ambulance crews to reach the casualty. The carriageway was fully reopened at 8.30am.

There were no other occupants in the car.
