One person was treated for injuries following the crash at 6.43pm yesterday evening.

An eyewitness says the road was still closed off in both directions at around 8pm, causing "lots of traffic" in the area.

"There were two or three police cars and then as I was making my way towards Aylesford from New Hythe Lane the fire engine came and pulled up.

"There were one or two cars in front of me blocking the road.

"It was then taped off around 8pm."

The crash involved a black Audi and a white car.

Kent Police confirmed they were called at 6.43pm on Friday to London Road, Ditton, following reports of a collision involving two vehicles.

A spokesman said: "Officers attended and one person was treated for injuries by South East Coast Ambulance service."
