Fire at paper mill

Firefighters were called to Aylesford Newsprint on Thursday night, after a crane on a paper machine caught alight.
Crews from Maidstone and Larkfield were called to the factory in Bellingham Way, Aylesford, at about 8.15pm, but when they arrived the fire was out.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service, said: “Crews just made sure the scene was safe and no other fires had broken out."
They left 15 minutes later.
Aylesford Newsprint, which is just off the M20, manufactures 100 per cent recycled newsprint and supplies UK and European Newspaper printers and publishers.
