A developer hopes to build six new homes in a back garden development off Boxley Road in Maidstone.

Plans submitted to the borough council indicate two terraces of three homes each, one of two-bed properties, and one of three, on land behind 263, 263a and 263b.

Access will be via an existing track between numbers 263 and 263a.

The development will run behind the first few houses in Rock Road, on land said to have been a quarry up until the 1940s.

Applicant Dale Birkby says the properties will be built in a Victorian-style to match their surroundings.
